What each setting does
- Reverse the order
- The whole job for a document a sheet feeder took back to front, which is easily the most common reason anyone reorders a PDF. It needs no page numbers and no knowledge of how long the document is.
- Set the order myself
- Type page numbers in the order you want them. Ranges work in both directions, so 4-6 places those three in order and 6-4 places them backwards — useful when only one section was scanned the wrong way round.
- Pages you do not mention
- They keep their original order and follow the ones you name. That makes moving a single page to the front the one character 5, and it means a mistyped order can never quietly delete part of your document.

Questions
How do I reverse the page order of a PDF?
Drop the file here and choose 'reverse the order'. It needs no page numbers and no knowledge of how long the document is, which is the point — a back-to-front scan is the usual reason anyone needs this.
Can I move just one page?
Yes. Type that page's number on its own. Pages you do not mention keep their order and follow it, so typing 5 moves page five to the front and leaves everything else as it was.
What happens to pages I do not list?
They stay in the document, in their original order, after the pages you named. Nothing is ever dropped — a tool that rewrites a document should not be able to lose part of it because of a typo.
Can I reverse only part of a document?
Yes, with a descending range. Typing 6-4 places those three pages backwards while the rest keep their order, which is what a partially misfed scan needs.
Does reordering reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied into a new document exactly as they are — nothing is re-rendered or re-compressed, and text stays selectable.
Will the file get bigger?
No. Pages are copied rather than the whole original being cloned and shuffled, so each page brings only what it references and the result stays about the same size.
Can I reorder a password-protected PDF?
Not while it is encrypted. The file is rejected with a clear message rather than producing something broken. Remove the protection in the application that applied it first.
Do bookmarks survive reordering?
Usually not. Bookmarks are a document-level structure pointing at pages by reference, and those references do not carry into a new document. Page content, text and in-page links do.
Are my documents uploaded?
No. The PDF is read from your device, rebuilt in your browser's memory, and written back. You can confirm it in the Network tab, or by disconnecting after the page loads.
Is it really free?
Yes — no account, no daily cap, no watermark. The work happens on your device, so there is no bandwidth bill to recover and nothing to meter.
If something looks wrong
- It says my order names no pages
- Every number typed was past the end of the document. Check the page count — the message says how many pages there are — and try again.
- Pages I did not mention moved
- They did not change relative order; they moved to the end as a group, behind the pages you named. To place them explicitly, list them too.
- The document is still back to front
- Check that 'reverse the order' is selected rather than the custom order with an empty field, which leaves the document exactly as it was.
- The file was rejected as encrypted
- A password-protected PDF cannot be modified until the protection is removed, and that has to be done in the application that applied it.
